Louis Caldera, the White House Military Office director who said he OK'd the New York fly-by, has resigned, CNN reports.
CNN also has a copy of the picture that was taken in the photo-op, which was released today by the White House.
It's not even that great of a picture.
UPDATE: The more I look at the picture, the cooler it gets.

Did you see the part of the story that said the money would have been spent anyway for the flying time and that local law enforcement was briefed before the flying exercise? You’re kind of obsessed with this story.
Just relaying the facts to the conclusion.
It's not my fault they didn't apologize, tell folks what it cost, have the guy resign and release the picture all on the same day.
Oh, please, Nick.
This is a story.
What's more it is a perfect example of how foolish the American government is, regardless of who is running it. The word "Stupid" is writ large over this entire fiasco.
What I've yet to see is why these photos were being taken and for whom. Was it for DOD purposes or campaign purposes?
Didn't say it wasn't a story, just not a major one.
The phote was for DOD purposes not campaign purposes to update the photo file of Air Force One.
