In what may be a badge of honor for a Republican, Rick Goddard was named Keith Olberman's worst person in the world last night for the "very uppity" remark. If it doesn't load directly, it's clip 2.
Since we've already dealt with the potential racial overtones of calling a black reporter "very uppity," let me note:
Olberman asks a good question: Why was Gen. Goddard watching liberal MSNBC instead of America-loving Fox News?

Travis - i am impressed by your character assasination skills... cant wait to read another article or blog about a non story. Isnt there any real news to report or has Marshall's office not given you their next talking points.
Maybe goddard will say "lamp" tomorrow... i am sure there is a racial slant to that.
keep up the crack reporting and you will go places!!
It may be true that there is no story in what he said, but what should be a story is Goddard's stupidity. Even if Goddard meant nothing racial, how dumb does the man have to be to use a racially-tinged term like "uppity" on a radio show?
And having followed the race fairly closely I know Goddard has spewed the typical "Marshall is a liberal" bullcrap that helped Calder Clay and Mac Collins lose to Marshall. Until Goddard talks about why Goddard is different than those two former candidates, Marshall will continue to slice and dice him.
Call me a post-racial American, but I was never aware the word "uppity" is "racially-tinged" or typically followed by a racial slur.
