Qualifying started this (Monday) morning for the Macon city elections. Some bold predictions:
1. Robert Brown will not run for mayor. I've been saying this for months, which essentially has me at odds with the entire Democratized world, which apparently gives a damn about the Macon mayor's race.
2. The current most ridiculous rumor in town (and that's saying something), is that Mayor Jack Ellis will run for a City Council seat. It won't even come close to being true. Would he get elected if he ran, though? Probably.
3. Less than half of the 15 council seats will have contested races. This one's not particularly bold. Bet the mortgage payment.

Welcome to blogdom. May you live long and prosper and may you never have Anonymous visit your site. (Oh, I see you've cured that in advance. Good for you.)
I think you're spot on about The Last King of Macon. He's not an out front type of guy. Doesn't like to shake hands or kiss babies.

Congratulations and good job! I've saved it under my "favorites."
Does this mean you can stop writing that "real news" stuff? I hope so. The Telegraph is just too hard hitting these days. Plus, Kovac needs a friend...
Congrats! I will try to be a regular visitor ;)
I knew you would see it our way :)
